Two arrested over disappearance of Egyptian national
Ahmed's disappearance is being treated as suspicious

Selim, 32, was last seen at his home in Camp Swahili Ward in Soroti City West Division, on Friday, in the company of Nabil and another yet-to-be identified man.

SOROTI | Police in Soroti have taken into custody two men over the disappearance of Egyptian national Ahmed Zinhom Ibrahim Selim.

The East Kyoga Region Police say Muhammed Nabil Ali, an Egyptian national who was last seen with Selim, and Mark Kisolo, an employee of the missing Egyptian, are helping with investigations.

Selim, 32, was last seen at his home in Camp Swahili Ward in Soroti City West Division, on Friday, in the company of Nabil and another yet-to-be identified man.

Kisolo told Police that he called on Selim but found the door locked.

Oscar Gregg Ageca, the East Kyoga Region Police spokesperson, said Kisolo he used a key he picked from the window to gain entry into the home that Police say shows "signs of foul play".

Ageca told Nile Post that the disappearance of Selim was reported to Police by Nebil.

However, he declined to comment further on other matters such as Selim's cell phone detail, saying it is part of the crucial investigation bits that cannot be released to the public at the moment.

Selim has been dealing in kitchenware in Soroti City. Police believe he went missing on Friday.

In a press statement released on Sunday, Ageca said detectives who visited the house had found signs of foul play and while he did not delve into the details, it appears to have been strong enough to compel the swift investigations given the suspect had been "missing" for barely 48 hours.

It remains unclear if the two are being treated as suspects in Selim's disappearance.
